Educational programs (GP, etc.)
The "Project to Support University Students' Employment Ability Development" is a national program to support educational reform efforts at universities and junior colleges to help students achieve social and vocational independence after graduation by providing systematic guidance, including practical specialized education, from entrance to graduation under a university-wide system based on the organic collaboration of internal organizations. The government supports the efforts of universities to reform their education.
Application Unit:
Ichigaya Campus
Period: 2010-2011 (2 years)
Outline of Initiatives:
The university views employability from the three aspects of (a) document creation, (b) information gathering and analysis, and (c) situational judgment and action, and divides the period from high school students to fourth-year university students into three steps of "awareness," "growth," and "development" (3 steps) to develop independent human resources.
In Step 1 (before entering university), students think about the significance of studying at university and how to connect their university studies with the development of their own employability through high school-university cooperative programs, etc., and clarify their awareness of the path to university.
In Step 2 (1st and 2nd years of college), students develop the basic skills required for working adults, such as communication and presentation skills, through liberal arts courses focused on career development and career development programs offered by the Career Center.
Then, in Step 3 (3rd and 4th years of college), through a variety of classes and courses, the goal is to deepen students' understanding of careers and acquire the knowledge necessary for working adults.
