The first phase of the Mid-Term Management Plan (FY 2018-2021), which was formulated in FY 2017 and has been implemented since FY 2018, will end at the end of FY 2021, and from FY 2022, the second phase of the Mid-Term Management Plan (FY 2022-2025) will enter the implementation phase.

In order to formulate the Second Medium-Term Management Plan, the "Second Medium-Term Management Plan Committee," consisting of the President, all Executive Trustees, and all General Managers, was established and examined.

Formulation of the Second Medium-Term Management Plan (2022/3)
In formulating the Second Medium-Term Management Plan, the committee took into consideration the Private School Law that went into effect in April 2020 and the "Japan Association of Private Universities Private University Governance Code" formulated by the Japan Association of Private Universities in June 2019, which clearly stipulates that "medium-term plans for business" should be formulated, as well as the long-term vision (HOSEI2030). HOSEI proceeded with the formulation of the long-term vision (HOSEI2030) while carefully listening to the opinions of the university's faculty and staff toward its realization.
In formulating the Second Mid-Term Management Plan, the "Action Plan" formulated to realize the Long-Term Vision (HOSEI2030) was also reorganized in consideration of its relevance to the Mid-Term Management Plan. As a result, the Second Mid-Term Management Plan is now a plan that clarifies the linkage with the measures to be taken over the next four years to realize the Long-Term Vision (HOSEI2030) and the single-year goals (departmental goals) of each department.
The Second Medium-Term Management Plan is based on "priority issues," "initiatives for academic reform," "initiatives for research advancement," "initiatives for social collaboration," "initiatives for student support," and "strengthening of the organization and management system," and it sets out initiatives for each of these. In addition, specific numerical targets have been set as the goals to be achieved in the second medium-term management plan.
We will aim to achieve the numerical targets, and as an interim step until FY2030, the final year of our long-term vision, we must ensure that the plan is implemented. To this end, we will ensure that the second medium-term management plan is fully shared among faculty and staff, and the corporation will take responsibility for managing its progress, resolving the issues it has set forth and achieving the plan. In the four years that are expected to be the post-Corona period, the situation surrounding educational institutions will be a mixture of both major structural changes and short-term fluctuations that we are forced to face. We will always keep an open perspective to social and global trends, maintain consistency in the midst of dizzying changes, and flexibly and proactively review and revise our plans as necessary to realize our long-term vision (HOSEI2030).

After the formulation of the Plan, the University established a Medium-Term Management Plan Committee within the Executive Trustee to continuously formulate, inspect, and evaluate the Medium-Term Management Plan. Going forward, TUAT will continue its efforts to realize this plan.

In May 2023, the results of the first year (FY2022), in May 2024, the results of the second year (FY2023), and in May 2025, the results of the third year (FY2024) were announced. The results of the first year (FY2022) and second year (FY2023) were announced in May 2024 and May 2025, respectively. We are pleased to report the final evaluation of the plan at the end of the plan period.
