Theme of the Seminar

Research on Contemporary Issues in Labor Law

Purpose and outline of the seminar

 This course explores contemporary issues in labor law through literature research and case studies.
The main focus of the class will be on literature research, which will cover monographs, collections of articles, and classic important literature in the field of labor law in recent years, and each class will endeavor to accurately understand the contents while summarizing the assigned text each time.
If the student's interest is focused on a particular topic, we will also plan to conduct case studies and reports related to that topic.

Annual plan of the seminar (including camps, etc.)

[Literature Study]
The students will be asked to prepare their resumes in advance of the seminar.
The person in charge will be asked to prepare a resume of his/her report in advance.
The person in charge will be asked to prepare a summary of the assigned reading, including what he/she has learned in the class.

[Other]
Due to the Corona Disaster, large-scale events are in flux, but we plan to hold a reception at , taking into account the wishes of the students.
The seminar will be held on Tuesday during 5th period, but it may be extended. Please try to keep Tuesday night open as much as possible.
A joint seminar camp with the Faculty of Law of Chuo University is scheduled in the summer.
Since this is the first year of the seminar, the content may be revised flexibly from the second year onward.

Message to students

 The seminar is considered to be a subject different from regular classes, and we expect active participation from students. In this seminar, we also want to focus on careful reading and writing of texts.
Reading and writing are the most basic elements of a working adult, but they are often neglected. Let's study together.
