Mr. Yuki Yamashita, a graduate of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, won the Best Paper Award in the Industrial Application Division of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan for his paper "Derivation of high torque and low iron loss structure of IPM motor by multi-material topology optimization method considering change of permanent magnet magnetization direction" presented at the IEEJ Joint Conference on Stator and Rotating Machine (already announced on January 24, 2020).
