Mr. Deng Shiping, a graduate of the Double Degree Program of the Graduate School of Information Sciences, received the Best Presentation Award at the 3rd International Conference on Video, Signal and Image Processing (VSIP 2021). His paper, "Cross-modal and Semantics-Augmented Asymmetric CycleGAN for Data-Imbalanced Anime Style Face Translation The "Cross-modal and Semantics-Augmented Asymmetric CycleGAN for Data-Imbalanced Anime Style Face Translation" is a machine learning method to improve the accuracy of the process of converting human faces into anime-like expressions even when there is insufficient training data.
