About the Application for "Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship" and "Hosei University Original Scholarship" for Academic Year 2023 (for graduate students)

To graduate students who wish to apply for the scholarship for the academic year 2023

The distribution of application forms and application procedures for the "Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarship" and "Hosei University Original Scholarship" for the academic year 2023 are as follows. If you wish to apply for the scholarship, please prepare your application as soon as possible.

Scholarship application documents will be distributed by download or by mail upon request via the web form. In addition, "submission" will be accepted by mail in principle. (*If any changes occur in the future, they will be announced on this page.)

All application documents for each scholarship are available for download.

　　If you wish to receive paper application forms by mail, please submit your request by 17:00, Friday, April 7, 2023 (Japan Standard Time) using the form below.
The deadline for submitting application documents by mail is postmarked by Friday, April 14, 2023, so please submit your request as soon as possible.

The documents to be sent to you are the same as those in the <Downloadable Documents> below.

4. Submission method (in principle, by mail)
　　Please send the completed application package by mail.
　　Please make sure to submit the application by a method that allows you to confirm the delivery status, such as LetterPack, registered mail, etc.

　　If you wish to receive paper application forms by mail, please request them using the request form in 2. above.
If you have downloaded the application documents
　　The first page of the "Application Forms (PDF)" is the application card, so please be sure to fill out the entire form and enclose it with your application.
　　 ◆If you have requested paper application documents
　　The "Envelope" containing the application documents will be used as the application card, so please be sure to fill out the entire application form and enclose the envelope itself.
Please be sure to submit the documents within the application period. If it is difficult to submit the following documents within the application period, the application period will be extended until April 27 (Thu.) (must arrive by this date) and separate submissions will be accepted.
　　C. Transcript of Academic Record (for both JASSO and university scholarship applicants)
　　H Recommendation of academic advisor (for JASSO scholarship applicants only)
　　J Research Plan and Letter of Recommendation from Academic Advisor (for JASSO scholarship applicants only)
　　New students should ask their academic advisor or department chairperson to fill out the recommendation forms at the new student guidance, etc.
　　　If your academic advisor is undecided at the time of application, please ask your major advisor to fill in the recommendation form at guidance, etc.

6. Flow of application after submission
For JASSO scholarships, after submitting the application documents, you will need to enter the information on the ScholarNet (application details) from the JASSO website. After confirming your application documents at the university, we will send you your ID and password for entering your application information into the ScholarNet system by mail. If there are any incomplete documents, we may contact you by phone or other means, so please respond promptly.
