Professor Emeritus Takashi Morita, Faculty of Engineering and Design, has been awarded the French Order of Arts and Letters.

Professor Emeritus Takashi Morita went to France in 1972 as a French government-sponsored scholarship student, where he studied under the renowned French cartographer Jacques Bertin and received his Ph.

After returning to Japan, he published a Japanese translation of Jacques Bertin's book, and has long been involved in research exchanges between Japan and France, which was highly evaluated.
