Use of Facilities

Ichigaya Campus

The physical education facilities on the Ichigaya Campus are used for regular physical education classes and extracurricular activities. With the exception of the Training Center, individual use of the athletic facilities is not permitted. Currently, no new applications are accepted for use of the sports facilities for extracurricular activities by groups.

Ichigaya General Gymnasium (right next to the Fujimizaka Gate)

  • B1F: Training Center
    Undergraduates, graduate students, commuting students, faculty and staff of the University may use the Training Center after receiving a regular medical checkup and guidance by a trainer. The guidance is available on the days when the Training Center is open.

  • B1F: Weightlifting dojo
  • M1F: Kendo hall
  • 1st floor: Entrance, office, instructor's room, conference room
  • M2F: Boxing hall
  • 2nd floor: Men's locker room (shower room), women's locker room (shower room)
  • 3rd floor: Judo hall, Karate hall
  • 4th floor: Table tennis, wrestling, fencing
  • 5th floor: Arena (basketball, badminton, volleyball, etc.)

Fujimizaka School Building Gymnasium Arena (Fujimizaka School Building, 4th floor)

  • 4th floor: Entrance to the gymnasium
  • 4th floor: Arena (basketball, badminton, volleyball, etc.)
  • 5th floor: Women's locker rooms
  • 6th floor: Women's locker room

Tama Campus

The Tama Campus has the following physical education facilities.

  1. Athletic field (400m track)
  2. Baseball field
  3. Handball field
  4. Field hockey field (artificial turf)
  5. Hard tennis courts (6 courts)
  6. Soft tennis courts (3 courts)
  7. Rugby field
  8. Soccer field

 2. various dojo (judo, kendo, karate, boxing, fencing, table tennis, wrestling, weightlifting, shooting)

Koganei Campus

The Koganei Campus has the following athletic facilities.

  3. Multi-purpose ground (Kajino-cho)
  4. Gymnasium (East Wing, 2nd floor)
  5. Small gymnasium (East Wing, 3rd floor)
  6. Training Room (East Wing, 2nd floor)

Kawasaki Sports Ground

The following athletic facilities are available at the Kawasaki Sports Ground.

  1. Large baseball field
  2. Small baseball field

  4. Athletic field
  5. Kyudo (Japanese archery) field
  6. Soccer field (rugby field)
  7. Indoor baseball practice field
  8. Handball field
  9. Sumo wrestling ground
  10. Dojo

Use of Tama Campus Physical Education Facilities

The following sports facilities are available for use when there is enough time, excluding the time for regular sports classes and extracurricular sports (athletic meets). In this case, please submit the "Application for Use of Athletic Facilities" by the 25th of the month prior to the month in which you intend to use the facilities.

For inquiries and applications for use, please contact the Tama Sports Section, Health and Physical Education Center on the 1st floor of the Tama Sports Center.

For inquiries about sports facilities other than regular sports facilities

Faculty of Economics Tennis Courts
In addition to the regular sports facilities, tennis courts are available in the Faculty of Economics building. The contact information for use is as follows.

Use of Koganei Campus Physical Education Facilities

The courts are available for use by current students, faculty, and staff when there is time to spare, except during the hours of regular athletic classes and extracurricular activities. Please contact the Koganei Student Life Division of the Student Center for inquiries.
