Report by KYOPRO Staff

On Wednesday, May 10, "Learning from Waseda's Love Studies! How to make a successful appeal in the romance market" was held at Tama Campus on Wednesday, May 10. The lecturer was Professor Tomoyoshi Morikawa, who conducts academic research on romance at Waseda University and has published numerous books on the subject.

The program focused on the theme of love, a familiar concern for university students, and taught them about love as an academic subject. The program was divided into lectures and group work. In the lecture, Professor Morikawa taught how to successfully appeal oneself to the opposite sex, based on his patented romance studies. Among other things, Professor Morikawa explained the theory of love equilibrium, which states that a person can be with a person of the opposite sex who has the same level of attractiveness as he or she has. Afterwards, the participating students were divided into groups and used a worksheet prepared by Professor Morikawa to measure their own love deviation values and consider what elements they lack in attractiveness. Throughout the entire program, Professor Morikawa and the participating students interacted with each other, and a friendly atmosphere prevailed from start to finish. It was also impressive to see many students who were struggling with their love lives rushing to Professor Morikawa for advice after the program.

In a survey of the participating students, some of the comments included, "I was able to try to be more proactive in my love life," "It was good to take a class that I could not take at Hosei University," "I found out what I need to improve in my love life," and "I was able to interact with students I don't know. We believe that KYOPRO provided the students of Hosei University with an opportunity to learn and interact in an enjoyable way that only KYOPRO can provide. This year's event was also the most popular of all KYOPRO programs, with 68 participants. We hope that the participating students will actively practice the skills they learned in this program to show their love and find a wonderful love in their future relationships. We hope that the students will be able to experience a wonderful love through this program.
