Implementation report by KYOPRO student staff

On Friday, November 26, 2021, an extracurricular education program, "Are You Getting Your Ideas Across? Design for Accurate Communication" was held on Friday, November 26, 2021.

This program was held in an online format using Zoom, focusing on learning the key points of design that accurately convey one's ideas.

In the first half of the program, the lecturer gave a lecture on how to accurately convey one's ideas in all aspects of design. The main focus of the program was on points to consider when thinking about design, such as "linking visual/design and information," and "organizing information by grouping and clarifying strengths and weaknesses.

In the second half of the program, as an actual design exercise, we had a workshop to actually create a flyer on the theme of Koganei Festival stalls. The group discussed the elements of creating a flyer and came up with a design while utilizing the points learned in the lecture. Afterwards, the lecturers gave a general evaluation.

The following are some of the comments received from the program participants.

It was a good opportunity for me to learn about design since I have never had a chance to learn about it before.

It was fun to actually think about design.

I enjoyed being able to actually think about design" ・ "I would like to make use of this in my future presentations"

Through the program, participants were able to learn about design that accurately communicates their ideas and the purpose of their flyers and posters. We hope that this program will help the participants to accurately convey their ideas.
