The Faculty of Lifelong Learning and Career Studies Career Faculty of Lifelong Learning and Career Studies offers an experiential class, "Career Experience Study (International) Vietnam". In this class, students will experience "cross-cultural understanding through daily life overseas as a consumer, not as a traveler. The 10 students will stay in Ho Chi Minh City in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from September 6 (Wed.) to 17 (Sun.), commute to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) while "living on their own," interact with HUTECH students, learn Vietnamese, practice Japanese language teaching, and meet local Japanese business people and Vietnamese people. I also had a fulfilling experience by attending lectures by Japanese business people and Vietnamese entrepreneurs who are active in the local community.

Because the overseas training program had been cancelled due to the effects of the new coronavirus, the planning of the program had to "start from scratch. In the meantime, during the domestic training program, which was held as an alternative, we had online exchanges with Vietnam, and I was very moved to be able to visit Vietnam this time and see "your smiling faces" in person, as well as all the related local organizations and companies that continued to send us warm messages. The students have begun to further challenge themselves to verbalize what they have learned from this precious experience in their fall semester classes, and to culminate their career experience learning into messages and forms!
