Ms. Chihoko Hiratsuka of City Lights, an organization that promotes barrier-free films, will give a lecture on universal theater. After the lecture, we will actually watch the movie "Henshin! with "voice guidance". After a lecture by the lecturer on universal theater and audio guidance, we will watch the movie "Henshin! (94 minutes).
Henshin! is a documentary film that won the Grand Prix at the 42nd Pia Film Festival's "PFF Award 2020". Director Tomoya Ishida, who lives in an electric wheelchair, interviews Megumi Mizuki, a blind actor active in theater and recitation, Shizue Sazawa, a performer who is making efforts to train interpreters for the deaf, and others who are bridging diverse "differences" in order to explore "the possibilities of expressive activities by people with disabilities. Director Ishida engaged in dialogue with both the film crew and the recording staff as he worked on the film. Eventually, Director Ishida is invited by choreographer and dancer Osamu Sunareo, who describes "Shogai" as "a body in a different context," to join him on stage as a performer.
