Hosei University announced the President's Statement on the SDGs in December 2018, declaring that the University as a whole will further accelerate its efforts to achieve the SDGs, and has developed diverse activities while confirming the validity of its principles.
SDGs WEEKs", one of the activities that we have been developing since fiscal year 2019, will be held for the fifth time this year, and will be held jointly with Kansai University, continuing from last year. seminars by companies and local governments that are pioneering SDGs initiatives, and a student organization that is vigorously developing SDG activities, " SASH (SDG Action Students of HOSEI), a student organization that is actively engaged in SDG activities, plans and organizes a variety of events and programs. This year, in cooperation with Hosei University's Special Committee for the Promotion of Carbon Neutrality, programs on the theme of carbon neutrality and other topics will be held at the same time.
In June 2016, Hosei University announced the "Hosei University Statement on Diversity" to further promote the acceptance of "diversity" that has been the school culture of Hosei University, and to expand opportunities for students and faculty members with diverse backgrounds, regardless of gender, nationality, age, etc., to play an active role and make a leap forward in their abilities. The SDGs WEEKs are a series of activities aimed at enhancing the vitality of the university as a whole.
DIVERSITY WEEKS" was launched in fiscal year 2022, and this year's event, the second of its kind, will be held under the title "HOSEI DIVERSITY WEEKS 2023 -Let's step up! The program will consider diversity from a variety of perspectives, including gender diversity and gender equality.
The SDG WEEKs and DIVERSITY WEEKs will be held at the same time, and a total of more than 20 programs will be implemented during the period. In addition to the University's students, affiliated students, faculty and staff, some programs are open to the general public. We hope you will participate, absorb much, and connect it to Practical wisdom.
