A demonstration experiment of "CAMP in Campus for well-being", a joint project by Professor Masao Mizuno and his team at the Faculty of Social Policy and Administration, was held at the Tama Campus.
Eleven tents were set up in the Hidamari Plaza next to the Faculty of Social Policy and Administration building, and 27 people from seven families, including 12 children, experienced outdoor living for two days and one night. Children ran around on the grass and enjoyed chatting over a meal at the barbecue site.
After the event, we conducted an interview survey on the possibilities and challenges of living as evacuees on a university campus. Three officials from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government also visited the site to exchange views. Two students from the Inamasu Seminar in the Faculty of Social Sciences filmed the event, and seven students from Mizuno Laboratory assisted in setting up and taking down the venue.
The results of the visit will be compiled and a symposium will be held in March next year for the citizens of Tokyo.
