Club Introduction

  • Founded in 1919
  • Belonging to the All-Japan University Ski Federation

The Ski Club was founded in 1919 and was admitted to the Alumni Association in 1921.
There are three types of skiing events, consisting of Alpine, Runner, and Jumping. Alpine skiing is a race against time, runners compete in endurance and endurance, and jumpers compete in distance and form.
The biggest problem is that they cannot all practice together because their practice sites are scattered. Summer practice is for track and field and everyone gets together, but in the winter, practice is done in each section, which is a lot of hard work.
Hosei is particularly strong in Alpine skiing, a tradition that is still alive today, and has produced many outstanding athletes.

Information on the ski club can also be found on the alumni association-run website "Hoyu Ski Club. (We do not provide links to this site, so please use a search engine to find the information you are looking for.)
