33rd Tokyo Six University Spring Swimming Tournament
Following the Beijing Olympics, Sho Uchida and alumni members Takashi Nakano and Yuta Suenaga competed consecutively in the World Championships (Rome) held the following year in 2009. Four members of the team were sent to the Universiade in Belgrade the same year, where they performed well, winning two gold medals and one silver and one bronze each.
In September of the same year, the team won its third overall championship in 30 years at the 85th Intercollegiate Games in Kumamoto, winning the long-sought Emperor's Cup, and alumnus Kazuya Kaneda has always been active in the swimming world, including his participation in the 2012 London Olympics.
All members of the swimming team have left the university, not only with good memories of their four years of university life, but also with the joy of living, the severity of life, and the splendor of life, all in the company of good friends.
Information about the Swimming Club can be found on the Swimming Club's website, "Hosei University Swimming Club HUST".
