Club Introduction

  • Founded in 1952
  • Member of East Japan Student Wrestling Federation

As you can see from the fact that Mr. Fukuda, President of the Japan Wrestling Association, and many other executives attended the "50th Anniversary Celebration" in 2003, the achievements of our wrestling team in the world of university wrestling are outstanding, including the birth of more than 30 All-Japan student champions, including the world champions Yoshihisa Yoshida and Tadamichi Tanaka. The team has produced more than 30 All-Japan student champions, including two world champions, Yoshihisa Yoshida and Tadamichi Tanaka.

In 2007, the team welcomed its first female member since its establishment, Haruna Uehara, who won the individual title at the 2012 Intercollegiate Wrestling Championships. All of the alumni and current students are working with a renewed sense of purpose to make both the men's and women's teams world-class in their activities.

Information on the Wrestling Team is also available on the club-run website "Hosei University Wrestling Team. (No links are provided, so please use a search engine to find the information you are looking for.)
