Club Introduction

  • Founded in 1935
  • Kanto Student American Football League, Division 1, Top 8

Nisei from Hawaii were involved in the founding of the team. One of the founders, Tadashi Wakabayashi, is a famous pitcher who has been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and the team has won 8 consecutive Kanto Student Football League championships since 1994 and 73 consecutive Kanto Student Football League championships from 2004 to 2014. The team is a representative of Hosei University in both name and reality. The team has won the Koshien Bowl (Japan's No. 1 university) five times and has produced a number of national team players. The team name is ORANGE.
The team's philosophy is "freedom and progress in football," and its goal is to help students grow into individuals who value independence and can play an active role in society.
The team practices at the Kawasaki Sports Ground American Football Field, which is a bright blue artificial turf field that is rare in Japan, modeled after the field at Boise State University in the United States, with which the team has an overseas exchange agreement.
