Notices

In a joint research project with Toyo University and Tokyo Institute of Technology, supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Policy Planning Bureau, "Verification of Evacuation Methods Utilizing University Campuses in Times of Disaster," a demonstration experiment of evacuation life using university campuses will be conducted at Hosei University's Tama Campus.

This project is a joint research project with Toyo University and Tokyo Institute of Technology as a "joint project between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and universities" in which the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and universities in Tokyo work together to address policy issues toward the "promotion of the SDGs and realization of a sustainable city, Tokyo".

We will examine the possibility of using university campuses for encampments and the resourcefulness of university campuses as one of the alternatives for evacuation in the event of a natural disaster. In particular, as measures against infectious diseases have recently been called for, evacuation life in existing designated evacuation centers (gymnasiums, etc.) is very damaging in terms of physical health and mental stress, and measures to improve this situation are being sought.
