Hosei University established the Headquarters for the Promotion of Globality and Diversity and the Center for Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI Center) on April 1, 2024.

In the mid-term management plan of its long-term vision (HOSEI2030), the University has set the goals of "becoming a global university" and "increasing diversity in the University". Since many of the issues to be addressed for the realization of globality and diversity overlap, the previous "Global Strategy Division" and "Diversity Promotion Committee" were merged to form the new "Globality and Diversity Promotion Division" in order to establish a system to comprehensively and integrally promote both. The Headquarters for the Promotion of Globality and Diversity is headed by the President. The Headquarters for the Promotion of Globality and Diversity is headed by the President and consists of the Executive Trustee, Deans of Faculties, Deans of Affiliated Schools, and heads of related departments and divisions.

At the same time, the Center for Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI Center) was established for the purpose of realizing the diversity-oriented university administration in the Hosei University Charter and the Hosei University Statement on Diversity. The DEI Center will play a central role in the promotion of diversity at TUAT, and will work to create an environment that is inclusive of diversity, provide support such as individual counseling on gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, etc., and promote gender equality. The DEI Center, which opened on the first floor of the Fujimi Gate of the Ichigaya Campus, includes the community space "DIVERSITY LOUNGE. The DIVERSITY LOUNGE serves as a base for information dissemination and exchange to promote mutual understanding and respect for differences in gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, origin, race, culture, disabilities, and other characteristics as individuality. The DEI Center is also staffed by specialized coordinators to provide a safe environment for diverse students, etc. Under the DEI Center, subcommittees such as the "Gender Equality Subcommittee (permanent)" have been established and will be responsible for planning and implementing specific measures in each area.

In conjunction with the opening of the DEI Center, the "Hosei University Guidelines on Diversity for Students, Faculty and Staff" was published. The booklet summarizes the University's basic policies and specific measures concerning "gender and sexuality," "disabilities," and "nationality, culture, religion, etc.".

The University will promote globality and diversity through a university-wide system, and will actively work to make the University a place where students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds can learn, work, and develop their individuality in a safe and creative manner.
