The Faculty Faculty of Sustainability Studies Hosei University is a department where students learn practically how to create a sustainable society from a variety of academic fields. Among the many consumer's cooperatives, Seikatsu Club Co-op Cooperative Union has been conducting pioneering activities in various areas such as food, energy, welfare, and labor.
The purpose of this career challenge is to learn about the current state of the non-profit and cooperative sector through the Seikatsu Club Co-op, which is engaged in various practices for "sustainable living".
From January to March 2021, participants learned about cooperative practices at Seikatsu Club Co-ops in the Tokyo metropolitan area (Tokyo , Kanagawa, and Chiba). Unfortunately, due to the state of emergency declared by the new coronavirus, all but a few programs were online internships, but the students participated in several Seikatsu Club Co-op programs and learned about practices in food, agriculture, energy, welfare, and other areas.
The following tasks were assigned to the participants, and presentations were made with Seikatsu Club Co-ops in the Tokyo metropolitan area. For the presentation files, please refer to the following.
