On January 20, 2024, Professor Mitsuo Nezaki, who will retire from Hosei University at the end of the 2023 academic year, gave his final lecture in Room S306 on the 3rd floor of the Outer Moat Building at the Ichigaya Campus.
Professor Nezaki gave a 100-minute lecture titled "Historiography of Edo and Surrounding Rural Areas: 50 Years of Research.
During the lecture, he reflected on his life of education and research, including his memories of Hosei University, and expressed his thoughts and feelings.
Many people attended the lecture, including current students, alumni of the Nezaki Study Group, and professors who were close friends of Dr. Nezaki, which was a testament to his personality.
Everyone listened intently to Dr. Nezaki's final lecture.
We would like to express our respect and gratitude to Dr. Nezaki for his distinguished service to Hosei University and wish him continued success and good health in the future.
