Notices
The concept of waka poetry was established with the establishment of the Kokin Wakashu. Since then, various forms of waka poetry have emerged over time and have been sung down to the present day.
This exhibition introduces poems from the Nara to Taisho periods, from love poems of unknown authorship to famous poets, waka poems by warlords, and tanka poems by great writers, with commentary.
Why not discover a glimpse of a slightly unexpected side to these poems? We invite you to join us on a journey of Yamato poetry through the ages.
