Exhibition] (Ichigaya) The 4th Planning and Online Exhibition "Gennai Hiraga, the Famous Producer of Edo" in FY2022

Hiraga Gennai was a man of many faces: a herbalist, inventor, painter, playwright, and joruri author. He introduced foreign culture and technology to Japan during its isolation from the rest of the world, and had a tremendous impact on the country.
This exhibition introduces Gennai's activities and achievements by field as one of his four faces (herbalist, engineer, artist, and writer).
Please enjoy the world of Hiraga Gennai, a genius ahead of his time.
