Notices

On December 9, 2021, the modern-looking "Darwin-Dorn Museum" will open in the Parco Comunale facing the Gulf of Naples, and will adopt a completely new exhibition method that differs from conventional ones. As part of the exhibit, a database of images created by Professor Akira Kihara of the School of Business Administration during his overseas research in 2006 will be displayed.

On the walls of the hall of the new museum, approximately 5,000 valuable marine animal specimens stored by the Naples Waterfront Experimental Station are displayed like giant objects, and by following the QR codes beside them, visitors can connect to the database and view 360-degree rotated images of individual specimens.

*Museum built by the adjacent Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn Napoli (Naples Waterfront Experimental Station) to commemorate its 150th anniversary.
