Hello everyone!
I am Kashima, Konuma, Koike, and Nakano of the Public Relations Committee of the Faculty of Business Administration.
In this issue, we would like to report on the open campus at the Ichigaya Campus, which was held face-to-face for the first time in three years over the three days from August 20 to 22.
We interviewed Ms. Anmi Ogashiwa, a third-year student who was the leader of the Faculty of Business Administration planning!
1. what did you do for the Faculty of Business Administration project?
The main efforts we made were creating exhibits, running the talk show, and creating pamphlets. In addition, we created a forum where visitors and prospective students could ask questions and have their questions and concerns answered.
The talk show featured the study life and extracurricular activities of the Faculty of Business Administration students to help visitors imagine university life.
For the pamphlet, we covered the campus life in Ichigaya, for example, delicious food restaurants around the university, and finished the pamphlet in an ingenious way.
What were some of the things you tried to do in the planning and management of the project?
We tried not to duplicate the contents of the talk show and pamphlet with the information on the school's official website and pamphlet.
For example, we wrote columns about recommended classes and seminars, how to spend free periods, and the lunch situation of university students, so that the content would be useful for actual university life.
We also aimed to make the talk show easy to listen to even for high school students by making it theatrical in style.
3. What are your suggestions for improvement for the next year?
It was difficult to revise the contents of the pamphlet, and it ended up being somewhat similar to the previous year.
Therefore, we would like to revamp the content structure next year. We would like to create something that meets the needs of what visitors and prospective students are looking for.
On the contrary, I think that using a theatrical format for the talk show worked well.
Instead of the formal and rigid explanations that are common at open campuses, we made it into a play with dialogue, which I think helped visitors feel more familiar with our university life.
In fact, it was well received by the students taking the entrance examinations, and we were able to keep them entertained without boring them. 4.
4. Finally, do you have a message for the students preparing for the exam?
Thank you for studying hard every day. It may be a time of impatience and anxiety, but I think everyone is anxious about the same thing, so I would like you to keep working hard and not be in a hurry.
The temperature is dropping and it is getting colder, so please take care of yourself. Good luck with your studies! I am rooting for you.
After the interview (from the reporter in charge)
In talking with visitors, I was impressed by their impressions of the fun and benefits of the open campus.
I was really happy that we were able to hold the event face-to-face for the first time in three years. Thank you very much for sharing your valuable stories with us! (Konuma)
After listening to you this time, I could tell that the open campus is an event very close to prospective students, with talk shows and booklets introducing actual student life, as well as question-and-answer sessions. Thank you very much for allowing us to interview you! (Kashima).
Despite the restrictions imposed by infection control measures, we made various attempts to make the time spent at the event as meaningful as possible for visitors. We hope the next year will be even better. (Nakano)
I was surprised that the stage for the open campus, a valuable opportunity for high school students, was so well thought out. I felt that a lot of ingenuity went into making it a success. Thank you for your hard work. (Watanabe)
Mr. Ogashiwa, thank you very much for allowing us to interview you!
