On Thursday, November 12, Nagamatsu Satoru, Mayor of Kitsuki City, and others visited Hosei University and exchanged opinions with President Yuko Tanaka and Executive Trustee Katsuya Hirose.

Kitsuki City in Oita Prefecture is the birthplace of the University's founders, Magane Kanamaru and Osamu Ito, and in 2018 the two cities signed an "Agreement on Cooperation between Kitsuki City in Oita Prefecture and Hosei University".

On the day of the event, Mayor Nagamatsu gave a welcome speech, followed by a welcome address by President Tanaka. Professor Asako Takada of the Graduate School of Innovation Management then expressed her appreciation for the great cooperation, including lectures by Mayor Nagamatsu and city hall officials, in the "Hometown Attraction Rediscovery Workshop: Kitsuki and Your Hometown," which was held in October of this year. A discussion followed, and it was confirmed that the two parties will further develop their partnership and cooperation in the future.
