ORANGE STYLE: Graduates Shining in Society] Yukari Kanamori, International Labour Organization (ILO) employee

This time we interviewed Ms. Yukari Kanamori, who is engaged in human resource development and skills development for industrial development in India at the International Labor Organization (ILO)!
What kind of organization is the ILO?
It is a specialized agency of the United Nations, and the only one that has a tripartite structure consisting of the government, workers, and employers. In the case of Japan, the government is the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the workers are the Japanese Trade Union Confederation (RENGO), and the employers are Keidanren. We create opportunities for dialogue among the three parties as we work to promote policies and formulate plans," said Kanamori.
Mr. Kanamori lives in India and works with people from various countries and positions. He places importance on empathy when communicating with people from different countries and backgrounds.
Even with people from completely different countries, cultures, religions, etc., I always look for things I can empathize with. It is also important to express your feelings. When I feel gratitude or respect for someone, I express it honestly.
Her university experience in Department of Political ScienceFaculty of Law Hosei University is also utilized in her current job. In a seminar on international development, I learned about Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA). The practical learning centered on study tours to developing countries, and I was able to hone my management skills to achieve my goals," he says.
In addition, while still in school, Zemi was sent to study abroad at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
At first, I couldn't keep up with the local students due to my lack of language skills, and I even cried in my room. But I managed to get through the year by working hard and rejoicing at the small improvements I made."
She engages in dialogue with a diverse range of people, placing importance on empathy for others and expressing her own emotions!
Ms. Kanamori is passionate about international contributions, and she is always willing to get others involved. We cannot take our eyes off of her activities in the future.
