HIROSE Katsuya, President of Hosei University, threw out the first pitch at the Tokyo Six University Baseball Tournament

On April 10, Hosei University President HIROSE Katsuya threw out the first pitch at the Tokyo 6 University Baseball 2021 Spring League. President Hirose threw a southpaw pitch that bounced beautifully off the catcher's mitt. The opening ceremony was held prior to the first pitch, and KAMIYA Kenji, the Director of the University's baseball team (Professor, Faculty of Business Administration), who became this term's President of the Tokyo Six University Baseball Federation, gave the opening address.

The second game of the day pitted Hosei University against Keio University, and with President Hirose looking on, Hosei University won a close game 2-1 thanks to a no-hit bid by pitcher Ginji Miura, who became the captain of the team this term, and timely hitting by the team. This game was the third "no-hit, one-run" game (zero hits but one run scored) in the history of Rokko Daigaku Baseball, and only the fourth time in the history of professional baseball.
